Transforming Residential & Commercial Spaces

Long before focusing primarily on canvas painting, I worked as a freelance mural artist, creating bespoke wall paintings for homes, public spaces, libraries, and educational environments. These projects allowed me to explore painting on an architectural scale, transforming ordinary interiors into imaginative and personalised spaces.

From children’s bedrooms filled with playful characters and underwater worlds to large-scale murals in public libraries and language schools, each project was designed specifically for its environment and audience. Working directly onto walls taught me how colour, composition, and storytelling can influence the atmosphere of a space and shape the experience of those who use it.

The works shown here were completed between 2011 and 2012 and represent an important chapter in my artistic journey. Although my practice has since evolved towards fine art, portraiture, and figurative painting, these murals remain a testament to my love of creating immersive visual experiences.

Whether for residential interiors, educational settings, or commercial spaces, mural painting continues to be one of the most direct ways art can become part of everyday life.
